Product technical sheet
Otkucaj · software version 1.3.6 · otkucaj.com
This page describes the product in the vocabulary of the Technical instruction for the administrative
and technical review of ESIR or L-PFR functionality, version 1.17. It is written for the Tax
Administration and for anyone checking what the product supports. The commercial description of the
product is on the home page.
Everything this document says about the regulations is our understanding, not legal or tax advice; check with your accountant or the Tax Administration before you act.

Four labels that are not the same thing. The software version
is 1.3.6 and changes with every release. The registry name Otkucaj is the
name the product carries in the register of approved elements. The serial number identifies one
installation, not the product. The ESIR number printed on the receipt is the record number (IB)
the Tax Administration assigns by decision, in the form <IB>/<version>. Because that decision
follows a passed technical review, no IB exists at review time: the test environment therefore accepts the
reserved value 000, which Otkucaj's production environment refuses, and the real
number is entered in Settings as soon as the decision arrives.
2.Type of approval and classification (questionnaire section 1)
| Q1 Type of approval | Transferable, the product is supplied to taxpayers |
| Q2 Classification | 3, Advanced |
| Supported invoice types | Normal, Copy, Pro-forma, Training, Advance |
| Supported transaction types | Sale and Refund, for every invoice type |
3.ESIR type (questionnaire section 3)
Otkucaj is a web application that runs in the browser with nothing installed on the device itself,
and it can be installed as an application (PWA) on a computer or a phone. In the questionnaire's terms:
| Q2 Software on a computer (POS) | yes |
| Q3 Application for a smart device | yes, the same application installed as a PWA |
| Q6 Module of an ERP system | yes, through the REST API and the WooCommerce plugin |
| Q1 Electronic cash register, Q4 EFTPOS, Q5 Vending machine | no |
4.Method of installation (questionnaire section 4)
| Q2 Over the internet (cloud service) | yes, otkucaj.com |
| Q1 Directly at the business premises | yes, installed locally on a computer at the premises, which is required when working with an L-PFR |
| Q3 Self-installation | yes, the procedure is in the Installation guide |
5.Supported PFR types (questionnaire section 5)
| Q1 L-PFR | yes, HTTP on the local network, per the Technical guide |
| Q3 V-PFR using a digital certificate file | yes, HTTPS, the certificate is presented as a client certificate together with the PAC |
| Q2 V-PFR using a smart card | no |
| Q4 ESIR and L-PFR in one product | no |
Why Q2 is not supported. With a V-PFR the smart card would have to sit
in a reader on the device that issues the receipt. A web application cannot read a card from the visitor's
computer, and no browser permits it. Otkucaj talks to an L-PFR over the network and does not access its card;
with a V-PFR it uses the security element in file form (.pfx or .p12), which the taxpayer installs in Settings.
6.Connection to the PFR (questionnaire section 6)
The application communicates over TCP/IP and does not distinguish the kind of link, so all of the
listed methods are supported:
| Q1 Wireless Wi-Fi connection | yes |
| Q2 Mobile network | yes |
| Q3 Ethernet | yes |
7.Supported operating systems (questionnaire section 7)
The ESIR runs in the browser, so every system with a current browser is supported:
| Q1 Windows | yes |
| Q2 Linux | yes, and as the system the local installation runs on |
| Q3 Android | yes |
| Q4 iOS | yes |
| Q5 macOS | yes |
A local installation requires PHP 8.3 or newer and MySQL 8 or MariaDB 10.6 or newer. The publisher
runs the product on PHP 8.5. The details are in the Installation guide.
8.Printing and printers (questionnaire sections 13 and 14)
| Q2 Paper roll from 57 mm to 80 mm | yes, 58 mm and 80 mm rolls |
| Q3 A4 format | yes; from version 1.3.6 the receipt is written on A4 as a document, by the element map of the Technical guide |
| Q4 Other | yes: A5 in the same layout as A4, the journal as a .txt file and the receipt as a PDF, from the browser or from the server |
| Q1 Roll narrower than 57 mm | no |
| Printers, Q1 external printer connected to the ESIR | yes, printing goes through the operating system's print dialog, to any printer the system can see |
| Printers, Q2 built-in printer | no, the product has no hardware of its own |
The QR code prints as a square of 41 mm on a 58 mm roll and 45 mm on
an 80 mm roll and on the A4 and A5 sheets, both inside the prescribed 40 to 50 mm range. On a sheet the QR code sits inside the frame of the receipt, between the PFR metadata and the closing line.
No thermal printer model has been tested by the manufacturer.
The product carries no printer driver and does not talk to a printer directly, only through the
operating system's print dialog, so a list of verified models is deliberately not given. A claim about
a specific model that has not been tested would be untrue.
9.Delivery of the fiscal receipt (questionnaire section 15)
| Q1 Paper | yes |
| Q2 Electronic | yes: e-mail carrying the journal and the verification address as a hyperlink, the journal as a .txt download, and the receipt as a document on A4 or A5, in HTML or as a PDF from the server |
10.Documentation
